Creating an event brand identity, promotional materials, and a printed magazine to amplify a nonprofit supporting living artists and culture makers in the Seattle area.
I chose a clean, graphically distinctive typeface to craft a visual identity for The Living Artists Collective (LAC)'s show, you are not alone. The font's informality aligned well with the colloquial themes of the show and translated well across mediums the collective used for promoting it. I used The Rose by Emily Wamsley, one of the artists in the show, as the base for promotional materials because its bright, high contrast color scheme and unique depth-of-field would stand out in a variety of sizes and across assorted media. The resulting graphics were eye-catching on web-based social platforms and recognizable on posters hung around the city in advance of the show.
The typeface I chose for the show's logo carried the event's identity from in-person to online spaces, increasing recognizability and spotlighting the work of LAC's artists without competing graphically for attention in the gallery setting.
My work with LAC culminated in the production of a physical zine to capture the work the collective produced in you are not alone with a more permanent medium.
When I began work with LAC, they already had a beautiful brand identity with fun colors and a signature typeface. I used these resources to create the layout for Big Pond, LAC's zine, bringing their established brand into an editorial space.
I created graphic templates for social media which made it simple and efficient for the organization's leaders and volunteers to craft posts in support of new opportunities and initiatives after the project wrapped.
